Summary
Efficient Frontier's Product Manager is responsible for the product planning and execution throughout the lifecycle of assigned product(s), including: gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product direction/roadmap, and working closely with Engineering, QA, Sales, Client Services and Marketing to ensure timely and effective product development releases and launches. The Project Manager should be detail-oriented and a team-player.
Core Responsibilities:
- Define the product strategy and roadmap
- Deliver MRDs and PRDs with prioritized features and corresponding justification
- Lead cross functional teams to track status, resolve issues, and coordinate communication during the product development process
- Run beta and pilot programs with early-stage products and prototypes
- Support Sales and Client Services in client presentations and industry communications as required
- Conduct ongoing competitive analysis and ensure that assigned products maintain market leading features and functionality
- Evangelize product benefits and competitive advantages to internal users and clients
- Work with external third parties to assess partnerships and licensing opportunities
Minimum Job Qualifications
- 3-5 years experience in Product or Program Management
- Strong knowledge of online advertising markets and technologies including search engine marketing, display ad serving, and Web analytics
- Bachelor's degree (MBA preferred), with technical emphasis
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated success defining and launching excellent products
- Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams
Efficient Frontier is looking for a senior level software engineer to develop client facing as well as internal services. As a senior member of the team, you will be responsible for end-to-end ownership including design, implementation, deployment, and support issues. You will work with a core team responsible for the entire product life cycle and will have significant responsibilities for design and implementation.
Core Responsibilities
- Architect and design web and internal services
- Implement, debug, and deploy the services
- Help maintain uptime and quality of the services, and resolve production issues
- Create documentation, sample code, and tutorials
- Create unit tests and help develop automated system tests
- Support early adopters
Minimum Job Qualifications
- Excellent programming and troubleshooting skills with a track record of delivering quality software products
- Experienced in many of the following: Delivered SOAP web services, deep skills in Python and/or C/C ++ programming, delivered server and API-oriented products, programmed with web services, system programming and Linux experience, and a desire to take on a new challenge and deliver
- Solid experience in architecting systems and designing interfaces
- Keen understanding of good architecture and software practices and ability to relentlessly evangelize
- Industry experience in hosted software, search engine marketing, internet, or e-commerce
- Experience dealing with high volume data processing environments preferred
- Technically highly proficient and able to earn team's respect
- Detailed oriented, quality conscious, with an eye toward simplicity
- Good communication skills - be able to articulate technical decisions and produce excellent technical documents
- Thrive in a startup environment - learn and become productive quickly and meet goals with minimum supervision, can-do attitude, be able to do what it takes to deliver
- 5+ years experience
- BA/BS degree in Computer Science or related areas (Master's degree preferred)
Statistics Engineer
Summary
Efficient Frontier applies advanced quantitative algorithms to the optimization of large advertising campaigns on Google, Yahoo!, MSN and other search engines.
Efficient Frontier is the largest Search Marketing firm currently managing five hundred million dollars in annual marketing spend for more than a hundred top advertisers. We are looking for exceptional statistics engineers with strong programming skills and experience working with large data-sets for full-time and internship positions to help build on this platform.
Core Responsibilities
- Enhancement of currently defined models and heuristic applications
- Development of customized models
- Programming predictive modeling algorithms
- Assessing the statistical significance of performance differences between models; i.e. hypothesis testing to compare a model with new features to an already deployed model
Minimum Job Qualifications
- Master's Degree (Ph.D. Preferred) in quantitative discipline: statistics, econometrics, applied math, operations research, computer science
- Comprehensive understanding of some of the following quantitative methods: multivariate regression, classification, cluster analysis, simultaneous equation models, decision trees, hypothesis testing, neural nets, SVM, time series, outlier identification, simulated annealing, genetic algorithms, Monte Carlo simulations, etc.
- Proficiency in R/SAS/SPSS and SQL
- Experience with large data sets
- Exposure to operations research/linear and non linear optimization concepts is a plus
